How Is Urban Decay Naked Vault II Different?

The beauty-loving section of the internet went into an utter moment of mass hysteria Tuesday when the 2015 Urban Decay Naked Vault launched. The collection of Urban Decay's signature caused a mass frenzy, and rumor is the new vaults sold out in five minutes, but how are the 2014 Naked Vault and the 2015 Naked Vault different? There are a few key things to take note of before you add this baby to your Sephora wish list — the site says they're coming again soon, so get ready!

Urban Decay's Naked line of products is easily one of my all time favorites. I own both of the Naked Basics palettes (what can I say? I love a good matte shadow) and the Naked 2 palette. I'm definitely not the only person with an obsession though. People rave about these palettes, and for good reason. They're creamy and ultra pigmented. Plus, the shades are curated for the respective palette. Urban Decay is no stranger to majorly successful makeup ventures though. We were just given a look at the Gwen Stefani X Urban Decay palette set to launch in November, and earlier this year, the Naked Smokey palette blew cosmetics geeks collective mind with it's July launch. Kim Kardashian even used the new Naked Smokey at the 2015 VMAs! Basically, Urban Decay has become a brand that eyeshadow lovers just can't get enough of, and with the new 2015 Naked Vault, that's not changing any time soon.

So what sets the 2015 Vault apart from it's 2014 counterpart?

More Eyeshadow Palettes

Urban Decay Naked Basics, $29.00, Sephora

The new collection will host the two Naked Basics palettes, and the latest Naked Smokey in addition to the former three full Naked palettes. This is more eyeshadows than the 2014 version.

No Face Products

Naked Flushed, $32.00, Sephora

The Naked Vault 2014 featured more than just the shadows from the Naked Collection. It incorporated the Naked Flushed palettes in all three varying shades as well.

Bigger Savings

The 2014 Naked Vault was priced at $280, but the 2015 palette retails for $165! The 2014 collection saved you around $80, but the 2015 volume will save you $109. Who doesn't love bigger savings?

Lack of Lippies

Urban Decay Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss in Nooner, $20.00, Sephora

The focus of the new vault is on the signature component of the Naked series's line — the shadows. This means that there are no new lipsticks in the 2015 vault.

While I'll definitely miss the inclusion of face and lip products, the 2015 Urban Decay Naked Vault is an eyeshadow lover's dream. Whether you want neutral, matte looks or shimmer smokey eyes, this thing have you covered.
