Burberry's Holiday Campaign Is Star-Studded

by Marc Cuenco

There is no shortage of star power in Burberry's Billy Elliott holiday campaign, which features Romeo Beckham, Elton John, Naomi Campbell, among others. The film's opening scene served as the theme for the joyful and stylish campaign, which stars 13-year-old Beckham as the titular character who dreams of becoming a ballet dancer. Burberry designer and CEO Christopher Bailey explained how the Oscar-nominated film and Tony Award-winning musical production inspired the brand's latest holiday ads.

"Billy Elliot is an incredible film full of so much joy and energy, so it was a real thrill and a great honor to be able to celebrate its 15 year anniversary through our festive campaign," Bailey said. Joining Beckham in the holiday campaign is rock icon John (who wrote the music for the 2005 stage musical), actress Julie Walters (who co-starred in the feature film), as well as Burberry models Campbell and Rosie Huntingon-Whiteley. Other famous faces on the roster include Michelle Dockery, James Corden, and musicians James Bay and George Ezra.

"It was also a huge privilege to work with such amazing and iconic British talent — the cast are quite simply some of the biggest names in film, music and fashion and it was so much fun working with them all to make this special film," Bailey said.

Beckham has previously starred in previous Burberry holiday campaigns, including last year's short film From London With Love.
