After the year she's had, it's clear that this singer is ready for a fresh start. And as Cosmopolitan's January cover girl, Miranda Lambert is clearly killing it. Lambert covers the glossy in a gorgeous little black dress and a confident smile. Simple yet drop-dead-gorgeous, if this Cosmo cover is any indication of how the upcoming year will go, there's no doubt 2016 is going to be a good one for Lambert.

Since the news of her recent divorce with fellow country artist Blake Shelton, Lambert has certainly been in the public eye recently. But no matter what the tabloids are saying about her personal life, there's no doubt that this Texas native is ready for a new chapter in her life. And her cover shoot for Cosmo very clearly proves that.

The country crooner looks absolutely gorgeous and undeniably confident in her own skin. There's no doubt Lambert has always had effortless poise, but this cover, from the simple styling to her amazing hair and makeup, really makes it obvious that nothing is going to slow Lambert down.
