The Star Wars Cast Killed It On The Red Carpet

by Kali Borovic

It might have been Daisy Ridley's first ever red carpet appearance, but looking at her out of this world outfit, you'd think she was an old pro. The actress, as well as some of the rest of the cast, kicked off their month-long press tour at the Star Wars Force 4 Fashion event in New York City, and the 21-year-old fit right in. If this is how she starts her tour, I can't wait to see what's to come.

Ridley joined her fellow co-stars Lupita Nyong'o and John Boyega as guests of honor at the event wearing a futuristic dress that was absolutely gorgeous. Although Nyongo's dress had more sparkle, Ridley's all-white David Koma mini was the perfect mix of feminine and edgy to make her completely stand out. The Storm Trooper white dress had sheer sleeves and a zipper from top to bottom that added just enough hardware to perfectly fit the techie theme.

Her stunning outfit didn't just stop at the dress, either. She wore see-through pointed-toe heels and a chunky metal ear-cuff that just might have been inspired by her role in the movie. According to Fashionista, Ridley landed her role in Star Wars shortly after graduating from performing arts school, making this her first taste of the red carpet. The movie might not be out yet, but her fashion sense makes it clear that she's meant to be a star.

Ridley looks stunning from head to toe.

Letting her natural beauty shine, she kept it simple with her makeup.

The lead actress wasn't the only one who shined at the event. While some people kept it on-theme, other choose to let their own personalities shine. Check out what the other attendees wore below.

1. Lupita Nyong'o

Nyong'o's dress was by far the brightest at the event. A collaboration between Zac Posen and Google's Made With Code, the gown had LED lights sewn into it.

2. John Boyega

Joining the two leading ladies as guest of honor, Boyega kept it simple but sophisticated in a reddish-purple jacket and black pants.

3. Stacy London

The force was definitely with London, who brought the dark side to the red carpet.

4. Ashley Eckstein

The creator of Her Universe, a fashion line for sci-fi fans, Eckstein looked gorgeous in a quirky blue dress and matching stockings.

5. Erica Domesek

The designer also looks to have been inspired by the dark side for the fashion event, although her bright clutch brought some color.

6. Bridget McGarry

McGarry showed up in a black beaded Parker New York mini that looked almost like armor.

7. Carmen Julia

The model took a walk on the light side for this event. She rocked a sparkly turtleneck dress.

If this doesn't get you ready for the movie, I don't know what will.
