As a 20-something living in New York City, there isn't really a lot in the world that keeps my faith in love alive. How much I love pizza works sometimes, but even that is no substitute for seeing an adorable couple look so loved up and perfect together — and even that is no substitute to seeing that couple actually make it. Considering how quickly relationships come and go in Hollywood (especially after the summer of break-ups 2015, R.I.P.) there aren't many couples I can look to for insurance that love is real. Real-life Pitch Perfect couple Anna Camp and Skylar Astin, though? I just want to smoosh their faces together all the time because oh my God, they are so perfect together I can't even stand it. And, luckily, it looks like they feel the same way too: According to a post on her Instagram featuring Camp wearing a ring on that finger, Camp and Astin are engaged, after — as Camp detailed in the caption — "he asked. I said YES!!!!" Heart emojis followed.
And, just in case you didn't believe Camp, Astin posted proof on his Instagram as well: The same photo of Camp wearing the engagement ring, along with the caption, "I asked. She said yes!!!" Then some more heart emojis, because they want my heart to burst joy for them.
Here's Camp's post:
And here's Astin's:
Yep, I'm crying. Won't even deny it. Let's move on.
News of Camp and Astin's relationship broke in June 2014. At the time, Camp was in the midst of divorcing her now ex-husband, Scrubs star Michael Mosley, after three years of marriage. According to Us Weekly, she and Astin — who first starred in Pitch Perfect together in 2012 — remained friends for a while before eventually beginning to date. As a source told Us Weekly, the couple "had a great connection and became friends, but nothing romantic happened until after she separated from her husband. They have amazing chemistry." Aca-adorable or aca-adorable?
No word yet on when Camp and Astin plan on tying the knot, but knowing these two, I'm sure it'll be in the most romantic way possible. Thanks for keeping my faith in love alive, guys!
