7 Tips For Staying On Kanye West's Good Side

Perhaps it's because he is an artist who feels he doesn't have time for "regular people problems," but Kanye West does not seem to be the easiest person to get along with. Sure, he may be hugely successful and loved by many, but let's be real: Kanye has very, very high standards. He made this clearer than ever in a tweet posted over the weekend, in which West stated: "I have no interest in working with anyone who is too important or too good or too traditional to take a call at 3am."

Yikes, Yeezy. I'm not sure I want to be in your clique if it interrupts my eight hours of nighttime bliss —dreaming about being with Drake on a desert isle just simply cannot be disturbed. And his phone call policy isn't his only standard for working with him, it seems; West has some very specific rules for people who associate with him, and he is not afraid to make sure everybody knows what they are. The following are a list of tweets and quotes from the man himself about what gets somebody kicked off the Kimye dinner party list.

1. Murdering People

"I believe that bad taste is vulgar. It's like cursing. I think the world can be saved through design, because what is the most distasteful thing someone can do? Kill someone. So, good taste is the opposite of that."

Kanye is not a fan of poor taste and according to this quote from a 2014 seminar he gave, murdering someone is the worst thing you can do in that regard. I mean, it makes sense.

2. Offering Him A Water Bottle

Kanye does not want to take responsibility for any water bottles on the premises, specifically if he's on an airplane. Ya dig?

3. Clapping In The Car

It would seem Yeezy is so often surrounded by applause that he even gets some sort of standing ovation in the car. Seems rough.

4. Being Blue

"I don’t use blue. I don’t like it. It bugs me out. I hate it.”

5. Disturbing Him On The Plane

Kanye has some pretty serious issues with planes, as shown by this statement and the above-mentioned water bottle tweet. Perhaps he should find another method of travel?

6. Spam Mail

"I hate when people email you and ask “You wanna know something?” of course but why are u torturing me by spreading this to more than 1 email"

One of Kanye's now-deleted tweets brings up this hard-hitting issue, according to New York. I think he doesn't understand that emails that say "you wanna know something" or "you won't believe this" are usually spam. Maybe he should have an assistant filter those out?

7. Supporting A Certain Shoe Company

Kanye West is not a big fan of Nike or people who wear them, as shown by a recent diss track leveled at the sportswear company. The only exception? Lebron James who, West recently tweeted, is "fam".

It's not easy being Kanye West, but it might be even harder to be the man's friend. With all these hoops for his pals to jump through, how does the star get through his day without finding someone who violates his criteria? We may never know.
