'Fargo' Was Robbed At The 2016 Golden Globes

There have been some truly big surprises to come out of the 2016 Golden Globe awards in 2016. Some of them have been great surprises, such as Rachel Bloom's big win. But some of them have been not-so great, like the fact that Fargo was snubbed for Best Limited Series Or Motion Picture. Having fallen under Fargo's spell these past two seasons, I have a hard time believing that anyone else deserved to take home that golden prize more than them.

Not only did Season 2 manage to rope in a truly spectacular all-star cast (that arguably exceeded that of Season 1), but it also provided an equally compelling storyline that didn't just keep you on the edge of your seat, but rather falling right off of it. Murder, humor, action, murder, suspense, intrigue (did I mention murder?) — Fargo Season 2 had it all and then some. But evidently, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association had other ideas.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for all the winners and believe that each piece of performance art deserves its chance to shine. But you can't tell me that Fargo didn't take the series to a whole new level of talent this year. In short, this snub is a downright crime and I'm not the only person who thinks so. Twitter immediately came to Fargo's defense and was just as outraged/confused at the loss as I was.

Consider yourself on notice, HFPA. Don't let it happen again. OK then?
