Every Winner At The 2016 Golden Globes

by Lia Beck

Even thought a couple smaller awards shows come before it, the Golden Globes mark the official start of awards season, so the 2016 Golden Globes winners list is basically a guide of what you can look forward to in the coming weeks. (You know, the movie titles and actors' names you can expect to hear over and over again.) The show honors the best in TV and film, gives us a taste of what's to come when the Oscars roll around, provides some important cultural commentary, and, well, let us see celebrities let loose and get a bit tipsy (you know you were thinking it). While the Globes are an exciting night, they're also a very long night, so if you missed any categories or just need a cheat sheet for what movies to go see now and what shows to start streaming immediately, I've got you covered.

There were probably a few names you heard thrown around going into the night: Up-and-comers Brie Larson and Alicia Vikander were both up for major acting awards. Leonardo DiCaprio was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama yet again for his role in The Revenant with many thinking this might be the film that would also bring him that allusive Oscar. And the film Spotlight, which has gotten rave reviews, was up for a number of awards including Best Picture, Drama.

So, did any of these top contenders end up actually taking home the gold? Check out the list below and find out!

**Winners will be updated in bold as awards are announced.**
