What Ever Happened To Michelle Tanner's Friends?

by Michelle Lulic

It might have been years, but Full House is so timeless that it's hard to not reflect back on the classic '90s show. However, reflecting back doesn't just mean remembering D.J.'s dating drama or Uncle Jesse's absolutely flawless hair. It also means remembering some of those other characters who popped into the show from time-to-time — and made it all the more amazing. For instance: Michelle Tanner's friends. The children who often encountered little Michelle's play area not only were incredibly entertaining and adorable, but they also made us totally jealous of what toddler-friendship should be. So, where are Michelle Tanner's friends now? Well, they aren't fashion designers like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. In fact, they're all doing a number of different things. However, most of them still seem to have one thing in common: The arts.

From dancing to acting to drawing, it seems as if Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen weren't the only ones who held onto the creativity they manifested during a childhood filming Full House. Now this just leads me to one question: Would Michelle still be friends with these kids today had their characters all grown-up to do the same things they're doing in real life? Well, unfortunately, there's no way to know for sure. However, according to the IMDB page for Netflix's Fuller House , not only will Michelle Tanner not be returning to the popular San Francisco household, but neither will her friends. They're all just too busy with the endeavors of their own paths — and visiting her in New York, obviously.

Lisa Leeper

Although her appearance in the show may have been brief, Lisa's role in Michelle's life was still a vital one. And, today? Well, child actress Kathryn Zaremba is now leading a life as a designer as well. But not in fashion. Instead, Zaremba leads her own company that creates and sells everything from wallpaper to stationary. Talk about a go-getter, right?

Teddy

Who could forget Tia and Tamara Mowry's adorable younger brother, Tahj Mowry, as Michelle's BFF Teddy? They were just too cute together! And, seriously, he's just gotten more and more adorable right in front of our eyes. The former child star is now a full-blown grown star, pursuing his own music career and even starring in the ABC Family show, Baby Daddy. Basically, I'm pretty sure Michelle would still be crushing on Teddy if she saw him today.

Denise Frazer

Remember Michelle's partner-in-crime, Denise? She was played by actress Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and you can still spot her talented self on the big and small screen. In fact, you may even know her as Nicole Wright from HBO's True Blood. Today, she is set to star as Rosalee in the the upcoming WGN series, Underground .

Aaron Bailey

Out of all of Michelle's childhood friends, Aaron had to be the most annoyingly entertaining. But where is he now? Well, Miko Hughes — the actor who portrayed Aaron — is still acting! In fact, he seems to have been doing everything from horror to comedy in the past couple of years. And, although most of his roles seem to be widely unknown, that doesn't mean that he isn't still making his mark. Maybe he could still return to Fuller House somehow?

Derek S. Boyd

We knew that Derek — played by actor Blake McIver Ewing — had the moves back in the day. And, thankfully, it seems that he's still got the moves to this very day. Ewing is now a professional go-go dancer. And before his continuation of the flashy dance days? Well, cute little Derek was actually the voice of Eugene in Hey Arnold! in the early 2000s. Yep, your mind was just blown.

We'll just have to hold onto the hope that Netflix is tricking us and that Michelle will return for Season 2 of Fuller House — and that her friends will still be behind her — come the Netflix premiere of February 26. In the meantime, at least we now know where to find them if we want to get our nostalgia fix.
