7 'Bachelor' Hookups You Probably Missed

by Marenah Dobin

Aside from some contestants who are craving the spotlight, people go on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette looking for long lasting love. Sadly, that does not always work out for them with more Bachelor couples breaking up than actually staying together. But don't count out the franchise just yet — well, I guess maybe you can since some of these matches didn't work out either, but my point is that there were even more romances than you realized. There have been plenty of couples that who got together when the Bachelor cameras stopped rolling. Reality TV does not show you everything that happens in Bachelor Nation and some interesting stuff has gone on between seasons.

These off-season hookups took place between contestants who did not choose each other on The Bachelor or any of its spin-off shows, and actually, a lot of them were not even on the same show at the same time. So how did these people meet and how long did they stay together?

Sure, you might be aware of a couple of these pairs, but even some of the most informed super fans are going to be scratching their heads when they go through this list of matches.

1. Arie Luyendyk Jr. & Courtney Robertson

Courtney Robertson and Arie Luyendryk Jr. dated after he heard about the end of her engagement with Ben Flajnik in October 2012 and contacted her on Twitter. The reason for the end of their relationship is a little bit unclear to me, especially after Arie publicly supported Courtney's tell-all book about her time on reality TV, which also discussed the demise of their own relationship, so it seems to me that the two are on good terms. In her book, Courtney claimed that after Emily Maynard ended her relationship with Jef Holm, she started to hit up runner-up Arie and the "incestual nature of things" was the reason Courtney and Arie didn't last.

2. Brad Womack & AshLee Frazier

Even though Brad Womack was the main man on two seasons of The Bachelor, he is actually a pretty private dude. Fans only really hear about him when it's about his love life. Brad had a short-lived romance with Sean Lowe's runner-up AshLee Frazier in 2013. There's no word on why they broke up, but once AshLee stopped posting pics of Brad online it was clear that they were over before things really began.

3. Joe Bailey & Lauren Iaconetti

Joe may have seemed like a villain on Bachelor in Paradise's second season, but maybe the dude isn't so bad. After paradise, Joe started a relationship with Lauren Iaconetti, Ashley Iaconetti's sister who was also on BiP. Even though this couple is pretty low key, it seems like they are still together, so maybe there's hope for another successful Bachelor romance.

4. Jonathan Holloway & Cassandra Ferguson

Yes, Jonathan Holloway and Cassandra Ferguson were both on Bachelor in Paradise, but they were not contestants at the same time, so it's pretty crazy that they ended up getting together. They confirmed they were dating on the BiP finale after show, and if you follow the pair on Instagram, you've seen a lot of lovey dovey selfies. It is not totally clear if they are still a couple, but maybe they are just tuning down the social media posts these days.

5. Vienna Girardi & Kasey Kahl

You may know Vienna Girardi as Jake Pavelka's ex-girlfriend, but she also dated someone else in the Bachelor family. Vienna Girardi used to date Kasey Kahl, who she met on Bachelor Pad. The two dated for eight months, which is a pretty significant amount of time in the Bachelor franchise. They announced that they were broken up on Twitter in 2011, and then everyone kind of forgot that they dated.

6. Arie Luyendyk Jr. & Selma Alameri

This dude just loves keeping things in the franchise. Arie dated Selma Alameri for a brief time in 2013. Before anyone even knew it was happening, he was discussing the breakup and how he wants his romantic life to be private from now on with Us Weekly. Too late for that one, buddy. Plus, doesn't detailing a break up completely negate what he was saying about privacy? That said, there aren't even photos circulating of the couple, so I guess it was pretty private after all.

7. Tara Durr & John Presser

You probably read these names and thought to yourself "Who?" Well, don't feel too bad if you don't remember Tara Durr and John Presser. Even the most loyal fans in Bachelor Nation might not be familiar with these two, because they were both contestants who left on the first night of their respective shows. So, how did they get together? Bachelorette contestant Jesse Csinsak told Radar Online that the two connected via a private Facebook page for Bachelor alums and now they are married!

All the Bachelor relationships and hookups are almost too much to keep straight at this point, but I'm sure it's only going to get more confusing. There's no way these are the last of the Bachelor hookups!
