Throw It Back To Tina Fey's First SAG Awards

by Ashley Berg

Everybody's favorite funny duo is presenting at this year's Screen Actors Guild Awards. You know, those two actresses from the new movie Sisters, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler? Ever heard of them? They are teaming up to appear at yet another award show together, and I bet they're going to nail it — just like Fey nailed her first SAG Awards red carpet all the way back in 2008. Getting your look right on the red carpet is not an easy feat, especially not when you're making your first appearance ever at an annual event. Luckily for Fey, she totally pulled it off.

The actress decided to wear a one-shouldered black dress for the 2008 ceremony. Sometimes black doesn't always pop on the red carpet, but the swishy material of this dress really gives the look some movement. Fey pulled the look together with a waist-synching belt and matching silver accessories. She kept her shoes super simple as well, leaving all the focus on her flowing, knee-length dress. Definitely not a bad choice for her first SAG Awards.

As if winning some serious style points wasn't enough, Fey left with the award for Outstanding Female Actor in a Comedy series for her role as Liz Lemon in 30 Rock that year. Not too shabby! If you're interested to see what this funny lady wore to her first SAG Awards, take a look below. I'm sure her outfit this year is going to be just as good.

Never thought I would like a one-shouldered look, but this totally suits her.

The hair and makeup compliment the look rather than overpower it.
