12 Super Bowl Recipes For Broncos Fans

by Meghan Bassett

The Broncos are in the Super Bowl. I repeat, the Broncos are in the Super Bowl. To properly salute our boys in blue and orange, I’ve rounded up these 12 Super Bowl recipes for Broncos fans that’ll have you screaming “Omaha” in no time.

Mile high pride runs deep for us Broncos fans, and this year is the year that we finally take home that Super Bowl ring. If you’re a die-hard Peyton fan like me, you’re probably jumping up and down with joy. Since this could be Peyton’s final go at the Super Bowl trophy, Broncos fans are getting pretty wound up around the city. Whether you’re hosting a party or going to one on the big day, you better be bringing some orange and blue with you for people to chow down on.

Pay homage to the great city of Denver by busting out any of these five-star recipes. The more Broncos pride you show on game day, the better, am I right? Help them bring home the biggest win they can snag with these recipes that both pay tribute to Denver and the Broncos. The time to bleed orange and blue is now people. Dig in and taste the big, juicy win.

1. Roasted Green Chile Queso Cheese Dip

One of the foods Denver is probably most famous for is green chile (though I’m sure someone in New Mexico is out there screaming that we stole it from them). Combining my all-time favorite food with melted, gooey cheese takes green chile to a whole other level with this dip from How Sweet It Is. This is how the mile high city does it.

2. Lamb Meatball Sliders

Denver is famous for a lot of things, but what most people don’t know is that we’re known for our lamb. Some of the best lamb in the U.S. can be found right here in good ol’ Colorado, so why not grab that local meat and whip up some sliders from The Kitchn? All that meaty goodness will help balance out the booze and cheering during the big game.

3. The Screwdriver

What’s more classic than this screwdriver from The Kitchn? A classic team like the Broncos. We all know Peyton is a class-act, so keep that class going with a simple cocktail on game day. Orange Crush all the way.

4. Mile-High Biscuits

The name says it all. Mile-high biscuits from Pastry Affair are the carb-loaded friend you and your friends and family need to snack on throughout the game. Go big or go home, right?

5. Melt In Your Mouth Orange Creamsicle Truffles

Orange crush is all over the city right now, and there’s nothing like a little sweet orange action to really get your Bronco love going on. These truffles from Deliciously Yum are so simple to make and will liven up your Super Bowl spread with that punch of orange it needs.

6. Hot Blueberry Cheddar Dip with Toasty Bread

You can’t have orange without the blue. This cheesy blueberry dip from How Sweet It Is will really rally the team together as you watch the Broncos defensive crush those Panthers. Get ready for a little Von Miller action coming your way NC.

7. Orange Julius Fudge

A little sweet to tickle your taste buds? Why yes, I think I will. This Orange Julius fudge from Food Fanatic is the perfect orange addition for the fourth quarter home stretch. Winning never tasted so sweet.

8. Sausage-Cheddar Bites

Cheddar is the epitome of orange, and really, who can resist anything covered in that orange cheese? These bites from Brown Eyed Baker will get you the big touchdown approval from all your friends with their one-two punch of meat and cheesy goodness.

9. Blue Corn Nachos with Homemade Guacamole

A Super Bowl spread without nachos just isn’t right. Swap out those regular corn tortilla chips for some blue corn chips in this Cookie + Kate recipe, and you’ve got a Broncos-themed dish the team would be proud to snack on. Really get in the spirit and add some orange cheddar in there. Boom, epic win.

10. Buffalo Chicken Quinoa Bites with Greek Yogurt Blue Cheese Dip

This recipe from Damn Delicious is the ideal combination of orange and blue, all in one convenient appetizer that looks downright addictive. You’ll have to resist popping them all in your mouth before the game starts.

11. Chicken Fajita Queso Dip

Mexican food is a staple for Denver folks, and this queso dip from Inside Bru Crew Life pays homage not only to the great mile high city, but also the orange crush that is going to crush it at the Super Bowl.

12. Ginger Beer Shandy

Anyone who knows Denver knows this is the city to get some of the best craft beer in the country. A Super Bowl win would be pretty unfulfilling without a cold Denver-based craft brew. Shake things up with this craft beer cocktail from How Sweet It Is to take it to Super Bowl level.

Be a Super Bowl hero, not a Super Bowl zero. Go Broncos!
