RiRi Will Knock The Socks Off The 2016 Grammys
Do you remember that coin flip TV ad that aired on CBS a few Sundays ago? The one where Late Show host Stephen Colbert refereed the coin toss matchup that determined the air dates of the Grammys and the Super Bowl? The one where CBS sportsguys James Brown, Jim Nantz, and Phil Simms represented Team Big Football Game, and pop superstar Rihanna represented Team Music Awards Show? The one where RiRi lost the coin toss, shrugged, and said, “I’m worth the wait”? The one that led many to suspect that the “Work” singer would be gracing music award show stage? Well, that hunch was totally right: Rihanna will indeed be at the Grammys. Friday, the 27-year-old pop powerhouse tweet-announced that she will perform at the National Academy of Recording Arts and Science's 58th award show. The coin flip ad wasn't punking us after all!
So what can we expect from RiRi The Great And Powerful on Feb. 15? Uh, a not-to-be-missed production, that'swhat. Whether she belts out ANTI’s first single, a medley of her greatest hits, or a cover of another artist’s song, it is sure to knock every last sock off of every last foot of every last audience member. Because if there is one thing I know to be objectively true, it is that a Robyn Rihanna Fenty award show performance is never not transcendent.
Let us take a look at the evidence, shall we?
