Clearly, Merrick Garland Loves 'Full House'

On Wednesday, President Obama announced his Supreme Court justice replacement nomination as U.S. Circuit Court Judge Merrick Garland. With the death of Justice Antonin Scalia at age 79, the public has been waiting to hear who might replace him and now Garland is a very good possibility. The judge, who is known for overseeing the high-profile cases of the Oklahoma City bombing and the Unabomber, appears to already be well-liked. I mean, when you learn that Merrick Garland named his kids Becky and Jessie, how can you not root for him?

First, to be clear, their full names are Rebecca and Jessica, but that doesn't take anything away from their nicknames. That's right, Garland's two daughters have the names of one of the most beloved sitcom couples of all time, Full House 's Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky. Obviously, this means one thing: Garland is the ultimate Full House fan. You might be thinking, "But, Becky and Jessie are two women, not a woman and a man, so it doesn't count." Uh, yes it does and who cares? The fact of the matter is that they have two fantastic names. So much so, many Full House fans have taken to Twitter to express just how amazing this is.

Can you really blame them? I don't know about you, but when I hear the names Becky and Jesse (or Jessie, in this case), my mind immediately goes to Full House, Becky being the best aunt ever, and Jesse with his beautiful hair.

As the last tweet above mentions, Garland naming his children Becky and Jessie just goes to show how great of a representation of America he is. Are you truly an American if you don't love Full House? I think it's safe to say Garland sure doesn't think so.
