How To Throw The Ultimate Wildcats Party

So the Wildcats are headed to the NCAA tournament championship game, and you couldn't be more thrilled, huh? Show off your March Madness team spirit with these Villanova Wildcats party ideas perfect for watching the big game with all your fellow comrades decked out in navy and white. After all, you guys sacrificed a lot to get to this point — mainly, your sanity as you checked your bracket during every work break to make sure it wasn't a total bust — and now that all the madness of March is finally coming to an end, you deserve a celebration. And, despite what the final score looks like, you can at least say you gave it your all in the snack department — there's nothing about a bowl of Sriracha guacamole that doesn't scream victory, am I right?

Whether you're a die-hard Wildcats fan who has been rooting for Villanova from the beginning, or you're simply picking sides to make the championship game feel more interesting, there's only one way to spend the end of March Madness: parked in front of your TV with fellow friends and fans, eating game day snacks and appetizers, and sipping on themed drinks. Or you know, just order a pizza. I'll never say no to a slice of pie, but I have to admit, these ideas just seem like a lot more fun.

1. Crock-Pot Philly Cheesesteaks

First of all, everything — and I mean everything — tastes better when made in a Crock-Pot. It's just science, or something. Pay homage to Villanova's proximity to Philly with the sandwich that shares its name. Half-Baked Harvest has the recipe.

2. Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Looking for something slightly more bite-sized? Cooking for Keeps takes the beloved Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and makes it miniature with these adorable sliders. Don't let their size fool you, though. These babies pack some serious flavor.

3. Turtle Cheesecake Truffles

These cheesecake truffles by Steamy Kitchen are made with Philadelphia cream cheese, and are topped with chopped pecans and caramel. The best part, though? You can just pop these in your mouth without even thinking about it, meaning you don't have to take your eyes off the game for even one second to eat dessert. Perfect.

4. Chips and Guac

No matter what kind of party you're having, chips and guac had better be on the menu if you want it to go down as a success. Damn Delicious takes your fave recipe, and infuses it with spicy Sriracha for an extra kick that will reverberate long after the final buzzer.

5. Blue Corn Nachos

Look, you wanna win, right? Is there anything more winning than nachos? I think not — and these blue corn nachos by Cookie and Kate, which just so happen to rep Wildcat colors, agree. Make a huge batch, and get ready to party.

6. Frozen Blueberry Margaritas

The best way to show your team colors? In margarita form, obviously. Cookie and Kate's frozen blueberry margarita is a serious work of art — and way more fun (and delicious) than the typical bottles of beer you normally find at game-day parties. It's time to whip out the blender.

7. Boozy Blueberry Floats

Not feeling margaritas? These blueberry floats by Foodie Crush still get the point across — plus, they're spiked with a shot of blueberry vodka. I'm sold.
