She won the hearts of fans and judges alike on Season 14 of Project Runway — and now she's preparing to continue her bid for colorful and stylish world domination, via a partnership with JCPenney. So, when will Ashley Nell Tipton's new line be available?
Not long from now, as fate would have it: First up is her brand ambassadorship with JCPenney's new plus-sized line, Boutique+. While not designed by Tipton, the new collection definitely fits her sensibilities, with plenty of bright prints and whimsical pastels, paired with distressed boyfriend jeans and kickass moto vests. As part of her ambassadorship, she models for the new brand — and she looks every bit as fabulous as you'd expect.
Following her partnership with Boutique+, she will also be one of the brands included in JCPenney's upcoming in-store shop, The Boutique. Tipton's designs will be showcased alongside other brands — we haven't caught a glimpse of it yet, but here's hoping it's just as gorgeous as her show stopping 1950s-Mexico-inspired collection from NYFW (you know, the one that won Project Runway for her).
The Boutique is slated to open this fall, which is regrettably far off — though at least we have Boutique+ to tide us over.
It's certainly exciting news from the Project Runway star — it comes hot off the heels of the release of her nail polish collection with FingerPaints, so it's nice to see Tipton building up even more momentum after her big reality TV win. Plus, as she explained to USA Today, "I didn’t want to just get noticed for one thing, wanted to keep going. This is a great platform I have right now and I don’t want to fade away."
Tipton's PR win marked a big step forward in plus-size fashion, and her upcoming partnership with JCPenney is sure to further the cause. Her autumn collection at The Boutique can't come soon enough!
