Is Drama Already Brewing In JoJo's 'Bachelorette'?

by Emily Lackey

Another season of The Bachelorette and another season of men with not-so-honest intentions. It's a story as old as time — so is it any surprise that, according to a tweet from series creator Mike Fleiss, some of JoJo’s potential Bachelorette suitors aren’t all into her for the right reasons? As much as audiences might hope that each contestant on The Bachelorette is there for to fall in love and live happily ever after, there are always a few bad apples that threaten spoil the barrel. And it sounds like we can count on a few of those making their way past the initial rounds on JoJo’s season of The Bachelorette. In April, Fleiss tweeted a pretty frank message about the guys that are vying for JoJo’s heart, and it sounds like not all of them are there to fall in love. And with this message coming in loud and clear from the Twittersphere, I think the one thing we can definitely count on from JoJo’s season of The Bachelorette is plenty of drama.

It happens every time. There are always one or two contestants who come on the show, whether it’s The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, for some small shred of fame. It’s either that or they’re there to stir up enough drama to get another gig on a different reality TV show. And, unfortunately for JoJo, it seems like she is dealing with a few guys who have similarly questionable intentions. In the tweet he posted, Fleiss confirmed that “Not sure all the guys are here for the right reason. JoJo is very smart. She’ll make good decisions.”

Oh boy. That sounds to me like one heck of a problem. If JoJo has men who are vying for her heart who really aren’t there to find love, then there could be some serious mistakes made along the way. She could vote one guy off who’s there for the right reasons just to keep another guy who’s there for the wrong ones. It’s a tough game, this game of love, but someone’s got to do it.

I just hope for JoJo’s sake that she’s able to sniff out the guys who are there for the wrong reasons and send them packing. And if it comes with a hint of drama, I won’t be the first one to complain.
