Nick Carter Is Officially A Dad

I think it's safe to say that this former Backstreet Boys singer is most definitely living larger than life now. On Wednesday, Entertainment Tonight announced that Nick Carter is a dad. He and his wife, Lauren Kitt, reportedly welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday, April 19 at their home. It appears Kitt was in labor for 30 hours and had a home water birth. Guess what? Their baby boy also has a pretty great name that is just so Hollywood: Odin Reign Carter.

If that doesn't scream, "My dad is a celebrity and a former boy bander," I don't know what does. Also, they may or may not be fans of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, who named their third child, Reign Aston Disick.

Carter previously spoke about the name and promised it would be meaningful. While chatting with ET in early April, the 36-year-old singer said, "It's a very strong name. We can't say the name yet. I've been instructed by my wife to keep it under wraps, but we have a name." Per ET, in Germanic mythology, Odin means a "widely revered god."

On April 15, Kitt took to Instagram, where she shared a photo of herself and her baby bump. Alongside the photo, she wrote, "Patiently waiting #40weeks #naturalbirth #homebirth #midwifery #birthwithoutfear." Well, the waiting is most definitely over, because she and Carter are now officially parents.

There's no doubt the two are beyond excited about their journey as parents. Carter told ET in March, "Without each other, the two of us would never have gotten to this point, so it feels amazing and it's crazy how much more in love you can become when you start this phase of your life."

Congrats to both on their exciting news!
