What Will Taylor Swift Wear To The 2016 Met Gala?

Throughout the years, we've had the pleasure of seeing Taylor Swift grow up — whether it's her music, her career, or her sense of style. And lately, she's been going for chicer, more mature looks, which is why I think Taylor Swift at the 2016 Met Gala will wear an ultra dramatic, super adult dress in darker, rich color, based on her palette choices lately.

When Swift first entered the music scene, she was all about her long, curly locks, lacy dresses, princess-style get ups, and of course, her iconic cowboy boots. But as she began to conquer the scene with her hit albums and performances, she moved to wards polished skirt and blazer combos, cute bags, high waisted skirts, and killer retro shoes. And now, she's ditched her super colorful hues and have gone for the ultimate New Yorker style: Wearing all black.

Now, we're still seeing swift in crop tops and matching separates, but she's been spotted wearing edgier, darker looks in both coasts. And while her past red carpet looks have included bold, colorful dresses, like her look at the 2015 Grammys, she's made a more noticeable shift to darker ensembles, like her black glittery jumpsuit at the 2016 iHeart Radio Music Awards.

But it's not just her outfits that she's changing up: She's also gone even more blonde, to platinum, on her Vogue 2016 cover. Is this the chicest we've seen Ms. Swift? I'd say so.

This year, the 2016 Met Gala theme is “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.” According to Vogue, the "upcoming exhibition will focus on the dichotomy between handmade haute couture and machine-made fashion." Which leads me to believe that of course — Her look will include blacks and metallics! And how super chic would that look with her new hairdo? I'm already so excited for it.

Swift is all about the paneling, textures, and different hues lately, and I can totally see that showing up in her Met Gala look.
