Beyonce Cancels Nashville Date Of Formation Tour

by Amy Roberts

Having just kicked off her spectacular Formation Tour, some fans were left disappointed on Saturday to hear that Beyonce has cancelled a Formation tour date in Nashville, quite unexpectedly and initially with little explanation as to why. A representative for Beyonce made the following statement to E! News for the Nashville concert, previously scheduled for May 5 in which there are thankfully reassurances that the show will be rescheduled for a future date:

Following Wednesday's sold out opening night Formation World Tour concert in Miami, promoters Live Nation announced that the Nashville concert previously scheduled for Thursday, May 5 will be rescheduled ... Details about the rescheduled date will be announced shortly and Nashville tickets holders are advised to retain their tickets which will be honored at the rescheduled event.

Of course, fans shouldn't be too worried about what this could mean for Beyonce or for any other of her upcoming shows as the official Formation World Tour Twitter page has been quick to release a set of updates confirming that the Nashville cancellation was in fact beyond their control and has simply been "postponed" due to "stadium construction" and that a new date is being currently worked out by their team.

In typical world-dominating Beyonce form, the Formation World Tour was kicked off in style following the release of her masterful, jaw-dropping visual-album Lemonade with early reports from the tour celebrating her on-point routines, triumphant range of costumes and high octane flair for showmanship in front of an audience which included husband Jay-Z and ex-Destiny's Child pal Michelle Williams.

Being the spectacularly professional superwoman that she is, it's hard to imagine that Beyonce would take the cancellation of one of her tour shows lightly, and though the Nashville date may be getting postponed and rescheduled, you can bet that she'll be making that delay up to her fans with one hell of a special performance in return.
