T. Swift & Calvin Might Not Walk The Gala Carpet

From fashionable celebs, to models, to coveted designers, and EIC’s, the Met Gala is a runway meets red carpet event that us fashion lovers anticipate all year long. And this year, even more so, considering Taylor Swift is co-hosting the extravaganza. While I am excited to see Swift’s outfit, I am also curious as to whether Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris will walk the red carpet together.

Besides their adorable Instagram pics and paparazzi romance shots, Swift and Harris, who, according to Swift's Instagram account, are a couple, have yet to be photographed on the red carpet together. Since Swift will be co-hosting May 2's event with Anna Wintour, it seems only fitting that Harris would be by her side on the Met Gala red carpet. But alas, that is not the case. In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Swift’s gal pal Selena Gomez told the publication “[Taylor and I] are going with each other.” She further added, “It’s so fun, it’s going to be the best. It’s like kind of prom for fashion.”

Now that it has been confirmed that Swift and Gomez will be attending the Met Gala together, it makes me wonder whether Harris will be attending the event as well. Although I am not quite sure, it is very likely that he will support his sweetheart by stopping by the festivities, even if he isn't escorting her. Since the Met Gala always has one major performer, I'm willing to bet that it's possible that Harris might just be the big act. After all, his next concert isn't scheduled until May 5.

While I was excited about the prospect of Swift and Harris finally making things red carpet official, I couldn’t be more thrilled by Gomez’s announcement. After all, the ladies singlehandedly stun on the red carpet, so I can’t even imagine what it will be like with them walking it together. That said, if it's anything like them attending the 2016 Grammys red carpet, I can’t wait.

Swift arriving with her bestie makes me curious as to whether her whole squad will be in tow. Considering the gala guest list is always on lock down, we cannot know for sure whether Zendaya or the Haim sisters will be there. Personally, I think the Met Gala would be the perfect place for another "Bad Blood" reunion, don't you?

With Swift and Gomez at the forefront of fashion right now, they are bound to rock the red carpet in some pretty spectacular and tech-themed attire. While most couples coordinate their outfits, I can't wait to see if Swift and Gomez will wear the same designer or if they will sport completely opposite looks. Gomez, being the trendsetter that she is, usually opts for sexy silhouettes with an urban vibe, while Swift has very recently gone for an edgy Hedi Slimane meets Saint Laurent look with platinum shag and Vetements boots to match.

One thing's for sure, though: Whether Swift's whole squad is there or not, May 2 will be filled with some major GNO inspo.
