How Do Prosecco Pop & Champagne Pop Compare? Both Jaclyn Hill x BECCA Collabs Are Fire
Have you heard about the new collaboration palette between Jaclyn Hill and Becca Cosmetics? It's every bit as adorable as you'd imagine. One of the standouts is a gorgeous new highlighter — but it's actually similar to another shade in the palette. So, how is Prosecco Pop different than Champagne Pop?
As the beverages they're based on might suggest, they do have some similarities — but if you're worried about owning makeup doubles, have no fear: They're actually distinct enough that it's more than fine to have both bubbly highlighters in your arsenal. You see, existing shade Champagne Pop has a slight peachy gold lean to it (Sephora's website describes it as "soft white gold w/ peachy pink undertones"), while Prosecco Pop is more of a true gold.
Hill took to Snapchat to swatch the five shades included in her Champagne Glow palette, and she talked a lot about Prosecco Pop (which she joked was like Champagne Pop's little sister). She revealed that she's been wearing it "since December, non-stop." She also joked that she's wearing it "eight out of nine times" in her makeup videos — most notably her recent Daytime Glam tutorial and the "What's In My Mouth" challenge, in case you're interested in seeing it in action.
Pretty darn gorgeous, right? It's the perfect finishing touch to just about any look, and the shade is quite versatile, as is its big sister, Champagne Pop. Here they are, side by side, with Champagne on the left, and Prosecco on the right:
They're each gorgeous in their own way, but they can also be mixed to stunning effect — Hill swatched a mix of the two shades on Snapchat, and they combine to be quite a force to be reckoned with:
Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfectors have long been a cult favorite — and the two shades included in the Jaclyn Hill palette are especially covet-worthy. The new palette will likely set you back a pretty penny as Becca palettes have been known to do, but with three gorgeous blushes and two, fabulous shimmer-packed highlighters, well (not to mention to-die-for packaging) — it's tough to resist.
The Jaclyn Hill x Becca Champagne Glow palette will be released online on May 26th, and in Sephora stores on June 16th. Time to get in line now, eh?
