Are Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks Changing? There's A Rumor That They May Be
Jeffree Star Cosmetics is dominating in 2016. Jeffree Star's Velour Liquid Lipsticks are super popular and they are mega matte. These liquid lippies come in a wide variety of edgy, outrageous, neutral, and wearable shades and they sell out on the regular, just like Kylie Lip Kits. There's a restock of four hues, including the new Rich Blood shade, coming on Tuesday, May 17, while the Beauty Killer eyeshadow palette and the Skin Frost highlighters are coming May 25. But are a few of the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks colors changing or getting some sort of an upgrade? Is there a new version that will see some of the Velours translated into a satin formula lipstick bullet?
Well, that's the rumor. The Jeffree Star Updates Instagram, a fan page which notes in its bio that it is not affiliated with the actual Jeffree Star Cosmetics brand, suggests in the caption of a post that Star and his co. will be releasing some of the Velour hues as satins for his Lip Ammunition line.
Info about Lip Ammunition is still TBD on the official Jeffree Star Cosmetics website, which is where the brand sells its beautiful wares.
Bustle reached out to Jeffree Star Cosmetics for further information about this rumor. We'll let you know when we hear back.
Those Velour Liquid Lipsticks and Star himself are so fabulous, aren't they? It's obvious why fans are so disciple-like in their devotion.
Now, regarding that Jeffree Star Updates post, it's all speculative. JSC devotees responded with questions, which lead to further dialoguing. Nothing has been confirmed regarding the changing of Velour shades to satin lipsticks. Below is a screen grab of one of the replies.
One word: Speculation.
It's also worth noting that turning some of the popular Velour shades into satin lippies could be a limited edition exercise. It doesn't signify a permanent change... if it's even happening at all.
It's a bit of a convoluted rumor and there is a labyrinth of discussion, so much so that I can barely make sense of it.
Therefore, I suggest following both the Jeffree Star and Jeffree Star Cosmetics feeds on Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube for the most official updates.
Don't snooze on this restock, either!
