Adele Skipped The 2016 Billboard Music Awards

Could I love Adele anymore? The answer is no — the singer/songwriter, proud mama, and incredible role model has had an amazing 2015, releasing her powerhouse album 25. Adele wasn't able at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards because she was on tour, but she did premiere a new music video, in which she looked and sounded flawless.

When I first heard Adele's angelic voice, most of us were used to a big-haired, cat-eye rocking beauty. And she released her amazing albums throughout the years, we saw her look evolve, too. Now, with the release of 25, she also debuted a chic haircut, bold brows, and yep, the iconic cat eye. Whichever look she's going for, past or present, she's always been a true beauty in our eyes.

On the red carpet, you can usually find Adele rocking a chic, black gown that totally fits her aesthetic. And when she's in her everyday wardrobe, she's usually in polished coats, cool jumpsuits, and gorgeous midi dresses. The point is this: Adele is like the chic English woman I've always wanted to emulate.

Tonight, while she wasn't able to make it, she did premiere her music video to "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)," in which she stunned in a floral gown and killer updo. Dancing, singing, and prancing, she looked (and sounded) like a complete angel. And viewers seemed to agree, too.

Safe to say fans are missing her tonight. Adele is up for eight (yup, you read that right) nominations, including Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top 100 Song, and Top Selling Song, to name a few. She truly is a musical godsend — just listen to the lyrics of any of her songs, and try not to cry. Good luck tonight, Adele.
