Don't Miss The Encore Showing Of Bey's 'Lemonade'

by Kristie Rohwedder

Her Royal Highness Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter will make her triumphant return to the Home Box Office channel soon, so get in forma— I’m going to stop right there. I do not need to spell it out. You know what you need to do, Beyhive. As The Hollywood Reporter reports, Beyoncé’s Lemonade will air on HBO again on June 18 at 10 p.m. Yes, the life-altering movie that introduced the planet to the life-altering, record-smashing album of the same name on April 23 will be back on TV later this month.

Whether you've yet to see the hour-long visual accompaniment to Bey’s sixth solo album, you watched it once back in April, or you've played it at least three times a day since it was made available for purchase on iTunes, this encore presentation of the superlative film is worth writing home about. (I, for one, have already texted my mom about it.) Why? Because Beyoncé.

Now, as much as I enjoy watching Lemonade on HBO and on iTunes and on my DVR, I've gotta ask: Why and how hasn't this masterpiece been shown in movie theaters already? I would be happy, nay, honored to spend money on a full-price movie ticket to see "Sorry" and "All Night" and that underwater scene and everything else that happens over the course of those 60 gorgeous minutes on the big screen. And by "big screen," I mean IMAX.

Why? Because Beyoncé.
