Beyonce & Kendrick Need To Tour Together. Now.

by Michelle McGahan

What the world needs now is love, sweet love — and a Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar tour. Seriously: After their killer surprise performance of "Freedom" at the 2016 BET Awards, is there a single soul on this planet whose heart wouldn't soar to indescribable heights if Queen Bey and Lamar announced that they were touring together? The passion and power they packed into their several-minute performance was enough to send the entire crowd (and audience at home) into a frenzy. So yeah, just imagine an entire concert's worth of that kind of magic — the tickets couldn't sell fast enough. Worlds would implode. Scalpers would make bank. And fans would straight-up go crazy.

Beyoncé and Lamar — who have a whopping 27 Grammy wins between them — would seriously kill it on a world tour. The unrelenting energy that they poured into their "Freedom" performance was simply unmatchable: Just when you thought Queen Bey couldn't get the crowd any more hyped on her own, Lamar rapped the hell out of his verse, spitting the rhymes so quickly and with such fervor you almost had to do a double-take. Picture this live, every night, in front of tens of thousands of adoring fans:

Sure, a Beyoncé/Kendrick Lamar tour would feature each artist performing their own hits (as it should be), but oh God, the collabs. THE COLLABS. The collabs would be what the crowd really came for. The convergence of two of the biggest superstars in the game right now — coming together, slaying it live on stage, night after night, city after city.

This is what touring is made for, so let's make it happen. Beyoncé/Kendrick Lamar 2020, TBH. Let's do it.
