Kim Kardashian's Silk Pillowcase Travel Hack Is One Tip You Can Definitely Steal From The Star

I can’t imagine what it must be like to try and travel with an entourage in tow. And you know her team has got to go with her everywhere she goes. But, sometimes traveling is all about the basics, even for this lady. Kim Kardashian admits she travels with a silk pillowcase, and that, folks, is something you can copy. OK, so you may not be able to bring a professional makeup artist with you — but a silk pillowcase is totally doable. Finally, the rest of us can travel, Kim K style!

There are incredible beauty benefits to sleeping on silk. Kardashian mentions on her website that it helps prevent split ends and wrinkles. And that’s just the beginning! In the same article on Kardashian’s subscription-based website, she mentions that she’s giving away 30 silk pillowcases from the brand Shhh Silk if you enter by July 15. So, if you’re interested in amping up your beauty sleep game, you should definitely enter to win!

Nabbing one of these for free would be incredible because typically, silk pillowcases don’t come cheap. But, when you’ve got benefits such as preventing acne and more, it’s definitely worth it. Besides, Kim K even recommends it. Check out these six plusses for sleeping on silk, you know, just in case Kardashian endorsing it didn’t have you ready to make the switch.

1. Prevents Frizz

Silk pillowcases allow hair to move freely as you toss and turn, without friction. One Marie Claire writer can attest to the fact that this greatly diminished the amount of frizz in a very noticeable way.

2. Prevents Wrinkles

The same Marie Claire article mentions how silk doesn't cause "sleep wrinkles" or any creases from your pillow on your face. This, in turn, helps to prevent actual wrinkles from pressing into your pillow over time. It seems to be working for Kardashian, is all I can say!

3. Doesn't Transfer Oil

An all-natural pillowcase won't trap oil the same way other fabrics do. By not transferring oils each night, you can be improving your skin and reducing acne. That's a win in my book.

4. Non-Moisture-Wicking

According to Into The Gloss, a natural silk pillowcase like this one won't dry out your hair and skin. That way, you can keep your moisture as you sleep and wake feeling refreshed and hydrated.

5. Keeps Overheating At A Minimum

Loosely woven, natural fabrics are great for letting your skin breathe. They won't cause you to get all hot and sweaty overnight, and that's obviously a win for skincare.

6. Leaves Hair Feeling Soft & Smooth

I obviously don't know from experience, but I'd be willing to bet that Kardashian's strands are super soft. And that's probably in large part to that silk pillowcase of hers. Sleeping on silk reduces friction and allows your hair to contain its natural oils, which according to Cosmopolitan, will give you much softer, smoother hair.

No more regular old pillowcase for you! No way — only the best will do for you (and Kim K).
