Will Tom Hiddleston Bring Taylor Swift To The Emmys? All Signs Point To Yes
It's an exciting time for TV fans. On Thursday, the 2016 Emmy nominations were announced. There were plenty of snubs — Mindy Kaling from The Mindy Project or Krysten Ritter on Jessica Jones. But there were pleasant surprises too, like Master of None. Before the noms were actually announced there was speculation about whether Tom Hiddleston would be up for The Night Manager. Sure enough, those predictions were correct and he's nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. So of course, the next question is will Hiddleston bring Swift to the Emmys? Based on previous events, it definitely seems likely.
Currently Hiddleswift is still going strong, so attending the Emmys together would be the next logical step. Despite the never-ending list of conspiracy theories surrounding their romance, they keep moving forward. They've already traveled the world together (Nashville, Rome, Australia) and met the significant people in each other's lives, from parents to best friends. People think they're faking the relationship to either make a statement about how the media covers celebrity romances or to further their careers, yet either way, Swift is 2016's highest earning celebrity and Hiddleston is nominated for an Emmy. If they were boosting each other's fame levels, it's unclear who's actually in a superior spot right now because they're both doing great.
As long as their relationship is long-term, I can't imagine him not taking Swift as his date. However, it's worth keeping in mind the awards show doesn't air until September. They still have to make it through two more months. That may not sound like a lot, but given all that's happened in just a matter of weeks, who knows what will happen in the next week, or even day. I'm definitely not rooting against them.
However, it's worth noting that for the entire year that Swift and Calvin Harris dated, she never walked the red carpet with him. Sure, they sat by each other at various award shows, but they never strolled hand-in-hand in fancy attire in front of photographers. Does that mean she isn't a fan of red carpet dates? It sure seems like it, but I wouldn't get too worried. Her relationship with Hiddleston seems to throw all past dating behavior out the window. She's usually so private, but now not so much. She isn't shy about being photographed with T. Hiddles in the least bit.
So, fingers crossed that Hiddleswift will make their red carpet debut. But either way, congrats to Hiddleston on his first-ever Emmy nomination!
