This Guy Should Be 'Bachelor' Over James Taylor

The collective hearts of Bachelorette fans broke a few weeks ago as JoJo Fletcher withheld a rose and eliminated Wells Adams, the cute radio DJ, from the show. Now, I don't blame JoJo for admitting that Wells wasn't the man for her — you can't force love with a man who doesn't make your heart sing — but I personally wish he was on the show longer and viewers got to know him more. That's why I think Wells Adams should be the next Bachelor . He's handsome, smart, and funny — what more could the next crop of Bachelor contestants ask for?

Sure, there's also the matter of the "spark," which was missing for JoJo with Wells. On their one-on-one date, which aired a few weeks ago, Wells stressed about finally kissing JoJo and he opened up about his past relationship to her. Sadly, it wasn't enough to keep him around and she sent him home. It feels like we hardly got to know Wells on The Bachelorette, but that doesn't mean viewers can't possibly get to know him as the next Bachelor. Personally, I'm all for it, because I think Wells was cast off the Bachelorette way too soon.

Usually, The Bachelor seems to come from the final four contestants in The Bachelorette, but hear me out. Here's my case for making Wells the next Bachelor.

He's Handsome

Wells is easy on the eyes, which has inspired crushes on him by Bachelorette fans everywhere (myself included). A season with him as lead would bring all the ladies out to the audition spots.

He's Relateable

Remember how Ben Higgins had his whole fear of being "unlovable"? It made him totally relateable. As for Wells, he wasn't a master of football or firefighting challenges on The Bachelorette, but who is? (Other than Jordan Rodgers and Grant Kemp.) Although he may have felt bad failing in those moments, he won over a whole audience who was saying to themselves, "I am totally Wells in that situation."

The Internet Has Already Meme-ified Him

In this era of Internet discourse, being embraced (and not despised) by the online masses is hard achieve, but Wells has done it. Earlier in the season, he became a meme as viewers compared his good looks to being familiar to other actors and celebs — but hey, it was totally a compliment for him to be compared to the likes of Orlando Bloom and Julian Morris from Pretty Little Liars.

He's Funny

If you've taken a look at Wells' Instagram account at all, you'll notice all of his clever and hilarious captions. He even took to Instagram to explain his botched threesome story/joke. This is also the guy who eulogized the elimination of Chad Johnson by spreading his protein powder like ashes.

He's Got A Cool Job

Wells is a radio DJ in Nashville, a job that connects him to the music industry. It's probably how he got All 4 One to perform for JoJo during his limo intro. Just imagine: His season of The Bachelor could be so much cool music-related stuff — and maybe more artist guest appearances.

He's Ready For Love

Wells had confessed to JoJo on his final episode that he had gotten out of a long-term relationship that was more friendly than romantic. Much like JoJo, he's probably looking for those fireworks. But he rebounded to try to find love on The Bachelorette, so that means he's definitely willing to give a new relationship a try.

So, Bachelor powers that be, please make Wells your new man, because his time on The Bachelorette was way too short.
