The shadow formulas range from shimmer to matte and pearl finishes, so you can rock and everyday look or something sparkly for a night out. While the palette is mostly warm tones with reds and oranges, cool toned fans can get their fix with greens, blues, and purples. The palette retails for $45, putting each individual shadow at less than $6. Not to mention, the packaging is beautifully designed (by Kat Von D of course) and durable enough for travel. It's a great deal for versatile, high-end palette.

But if you aren't used to working with color or glitter, this palette can be a bit intimidating. Luckily, the gurus of YouTube (and enthusiasts of all kinds) have a few tips. Here's how wear the Serpentina Eyeshadow Palette for any occasion.

1. Cool-Toned Purple Tutorial

When I think of Kat Von D, I usually don't think of bright colors. After all, she's best know for her realistic, black-and-white portraits. But you can achieve a summery lavender look with Serpentina.

2. Bold Green Eyes Tutorial

This is a back-to-school look that will be wearable all fall long.

3. Duochrome Tutorial

You can create a duochrome look with these super metallic shades. Just wet your brush before dipping into the pan to amplify the pigment.

4. Hot & Cold Tutorial

These looks are so different, it's almost unbelievable that they came from the same palette.

5. Olive Gold Tutorial

Not sure how to work with loose pigments? Apply foundation or eyeshadow glue to your lid to make it stick.

6. Warm-Toned Tutorial

Reds, golds, and oranges mix for a beautiful sunset look.

7. Electric Rainbow Tutorial
