It's never too early to get ahead on all your gift-giving holidays and occasions, short of buying a full year in advance. Truth be told, the older we get the harder we are to buy presents for, and few things are harder than buying gifts for people who like books. It's like trying to cook a meal for someone who says they like food. It's such a big industry that you could literally buy so many horrible gifts that they'll have to pretend to like, or will like for the gesture alone.
Some people like Game of Thrones and others are completely horrified by it. Similarly, some people loved 50 Shades of Grey and others were horrified by it (that's a media analysis for another time, though). The reactions don't have to be that extreme. The point is that what one perceives as a great, interesting series, might be trash to someone else, and the sad thing about getting someone the wrong book is that they're highly unlikely to ever read it. Investing yourself in a book takes a lot of time and energy, so it's not really the kind of thing you want to get wrong.
Thankfully, the Internet is here to make sure they actually like your gift. You may not be buying them more books, but there are plenty of ways to make your book lover best friend happy. Here are 10 great gifts for the bookworm in your life.
