I'm sure we all saw this coming after the show's immense success this summer, but Stranger Things has been renewed for Season 2. Typically fans are on pins and needles for announcements like this, hoping that our favorite show will avoid the chopping block, the Netflix series has been so universally adored that we were actually surprised it took as long as it did for the streaming platform to greenlight a second season. It had me feeling like I was living in the upside down, a little bit, in fact, because Season 2 has been rumored since mid-July, and co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer were already discussing what they wanted to do with Stranger Things' second season before the official word had even come down. I've gotten used to the incredibly long hiatuses between seasons of a show like Sherlock, so it's a delight that we don't have to wait around too much to get a second dose of our Barb fix. Here's the announcement:
This is exactly the news fans have all been waiting for since the moment we first got hooked on the '80s-themed, supernatural thriller that everyone's been raving about, so let's all breathe a sigh of relief and watch Season 1 about eight more times in preparation.
