Gwyneth & Goop Are Launching A Clothing Line

It was only a matter of time. She's already occupying her corner of the product space with her Juice Beauty line. Now, Gwyneth Paltrow and her lifestyle site/brand Goop are launching a clothing line. While Paltrow has shouldered her fair share of criticism regarding the pricy home and fashion items she touts on the Goop site, that doesn't change the fact that she is one of the most stylish celebs and that both fans and haters are always interested in what she's wearing. According to The New York Times, Paltrow's Goop Label will be based on everyday pieces in Paltrow's closet as well as "fashion archives," whatever that means. So when is Paltrow's Goop clothing line available to shop via the Goop site?

Get ready, since it's landing ASAP. According to the Times article, Goop Label arrives on Monday, Sept. 12. But make no mistake. Paltrow is not transitioning into the role of designer. And regarding that "fashion archives" statement? She clarified both her role and the scope of the line one fell swoop.

"It was a collective effort, and I am not positioning myself as a designer," the actor and mother of two told The New York Times. She furthered, "I have kept an archive of my most influential fashion pieces, things that came to mean something to me. It encompasses a lot of different time periods, lovers, countries."

So that's the inspo. Oh, and this piece is Italian-made!

Here's another sneak peek.

Also, Goop Label fashion pieces will be unveiled monthly, with up to five offerings available each month. This month, only four pieces, including a chambray shirt and a cotton canvas tote, will land. The pieces are produced in an extremely limited quantity — Paltrow used the word "dozens" in terms of amount. And once they sell out, they are gone for good. So you won't be furiously checking Goop socials for news of a surprise restock.
