Are You Ready To Get 'Fifty Shades Darker'?

Confession: I am unapologetically in love with the Fifty Shades franchise. Both books and Fifty Shades of Grey as film are just the right amount of guilty pleasure and melodrama I need in my life. Which means that if you're anything like me when it comes to Fifty Shades Darker , you're ready for the trailer. Right? Well, the official trailer is set to drop on September 13 but for the next dozen or so hours, we have this divine teaser to play on repeat. Initially released via the Fifty Shades Darker Instagram, the teaser is asking us one very simple — and very tantalizing — question: Are you intrigued?

In short: Yes, Christian Grey. I am intrigued. I think I speak for many fans when I say we are so intrigued we need the full-length trailer for Fifty Shades Darker like, yesterday. Right? The teaser may only be a few seconds long but it is already giving us so many sexy moments. There's masks, fireworks in an exotic location and Anastasia and Christian are once again in very close proximity. Can you even handle how intense this teaser is? It sends a chill up my spine in happy anticipation to see what the trailer has in store for us.

On its second go-round, Fifty Shades Darker will be going deeper into Anastasia and Christian intense relationship while there seems to be forces (including one of Christian's much older exes) that threaten to keep the pair apart for good. The cast has grown for the second installment in the franchise, including Kim Basinger and Bella Heathcote, tapped to play two of Christian's exes and Hugh Dancy appearing as Christian's psychiatrist. It will be interesting to see how the scope of the film is widened now that bigger names have signed on to expand the Fifty Shades-verse. Will they be just as sexy or intense as Anastasia and Christian? If those masks and brooding looks are anything to go by, then I am already left thinking this is going to be one intense movie.

Sure, it's sexy, illicit and even a bit over the top. But there's something enticing, even evocative, about the Fifty Shades books and films that always seem to leave you wanting more. That's the point, though, isn't it? To leave us eagerly waiting in anticipation for the next thrill? All I know is that I am so ready for the full-length trailer. September 13 can't come quick enough.
