It's hard to believe that it's already been two years since this powerhouse made history as the first transgender person to be nominated for an Emmy. She's presenting at the show this year, but Laverne Cox's 2016 Emmys look should probably get its own award.

This isn't the first time that the actor has made glamorous look effortless at awards shows. In fact, every time she hits the red carpet she manages to slay beyond the limits that most people assume are possible. She's all about body-hugging gowns in bold colors, creating dramatic silhouettes that are impossible not to notice.

Let's take a look at her track record: Back in May, Cox came dressed as your dream come true to the 2016 Billboard Awards, rocking a black, lace-sleeved gown with a plunging neckline. At the 2016 SAG Awards in January, she wore an incredible burgundy gown with a leg slit so perfect, you may have needed to take a moment of silence in it's honor.

Simply put, Cox knows exactly what she's doing on the red carpet, which is why it's no surprise that her beauty look this year is absolutely incredible. She wore gold tones on her eyes and lips, and styled her hair in soft, romantic waves perfect for the queen she is. Thanks to Cox's Snapchat on her way to the show, fans even got to see a hint of her beaded golden gown before the red carpet.
