Ben & Lauren Will Be On Another Freeform Show

by Courtney Lindley

Looks like we'll continue to see a lot more of the most recent Bachelor and his current wife-to-be. Not only do Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have a show coming to Freeform called Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, but now, according to People, the couple will make another appearance on the network with a guest spot on the upcoming Freeform drama, Famous in Love. I know what you're thinking: Are they actors now? Did I miss something? But trust me: Higgins and Bushnell will be portraying characters extremely familiar to them.

Famous In Love stars Bella Thorne as a girl who "gets her big break after auditioning for the starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster," and is based on Rebecca Serle's romance novel of the same name. The series will be written by Serle, as well as the creator and showrunner behind Pretty Little Liars, I. Marlene King. According to People, Higgins and Bushnell won't be characters from the novel or even new ones written specifically for the TV adaption — nope, Higgins and Bushnell will, instead, play none other than themselves.

The scripted series doesn't premiere until April 2017, and the two won't make their appearance until later in the season, so it's going to be a while before you see this in action. But, if you want to keep getting your Higgins and Bushnell fix, the couple's own reality show — Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? — will premiere in October. In Happily Ever After?, Higgins and Bushnell will also appear as themselves, as the unscripted series is meant to be a peek into their lives as they prep for their impending nuptials. It will be executive produced by Bachelor showrunners, including creator Mike Fleiss. Additionally, previous Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants are slated to make guest appearances — in fact, even Higgins's ex (and the only other woman he said "I love you" to on the show), JoJo Fletcher, shows up shortly into the series.

Higgins talked to People in June about his decision to be on another reality show (his third, if anyone's counting: First there was Kaitlyn Bristowe's season of The Bachelorette, then his season of The Bachelor, and now this). He said, "For Lauren and I, we realized really quickly that our life was not going to be as private as we may have dreamed it would be, post-Bachelor. So with that we thought, 'If everybody else cares so much about our life, why would we not allow people to come into our life via cameras again?'"

He forgot to add "and again," but no matter. Excited to see Ben and Lauren flex their acting chops on Famous in Love.
