Awesome News, Erika Jayne Fans

by Kristie Rohwedder

The thing that was most certainly going to happen is officially happening: On Monday, Bravo announced that "Painkillr" singer and Pasadena Magazine cover model Erika Girardi will be on Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. As awesome as this piece of Bravo news is, I wouldn't call it a surprise. Ms. Enigma Wrapped In A Riddle And Cash’s debut season was literally perfect and I will not hear otherwise; of course Bravo asked her back. To omit Erika Jayne from the main lineup now would be like taking several wobbly steps backwards in platform stillettos and then crashing into a room service cart parked in a hallway of a San Diego hotel.

After all, this is the human who brings a pop star alter ego and a glam squad and chart-topping dance songs and the patting of the you-know-what and those bodysuits and a Pasadena manor with an in-house chapel and a pet octopus to the series. Erika Jayne is a Real Housewives icon, deserves to be inducted into the Bravolebrity Hall of Fame already, is everything, etcetera.

While we're on the subejct of Calamari the cephalopod, now seems like a great time to watch (or re-watch) Girardi's episode of Tanked . Oh, didn't you hear? Both Erika Jayne and her pet octopus were on the Animal Planet reality series about an aquarium company that builds fish tanks for celebrities.

Grab a straw and drink it in:

I hope Girardi’s eight-legged pal makes at least 12 cameos on the seventh season of RHOBH.

Prediction: Calamari is the sixth main Beverly Hills Housewife.
