This Is How The KHLO$ and Koko Mattes Differ

Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian have joined forces in the makeup space and your lips will be thanking the sisters for it. The Kylie Cosmetics Koko Kollection is a lip product kollab between the sisters, featuring three gorgeous matte liquid lippies and one sexy, shimmery gloss. The Koko Kollection drops on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT. The lippies are sold sans liners and as a $40 set, which means the range qualifies for the Kylie Cosmetics free domestic shipping offer. DAMN GINA is the sole gloss in the set and it's a purrrrty pink. OKURRR is a hot pink matte, while GORG is a reddish berry matte. Then there is the dusty pink KHLO$ matte liquid lippie that is certainly a sister shade to the original Koko K Lip Kit, which was named after and inspired by Kardashian and was eventually translated into the Koko K Gloss. So, how is the KHLO$ matte different than Koko K?

Well, to my eyes and based on the Insta photos, KHLO$ looks a bit dustier and deeper than Koko K.

Luckily, we have shots of both shades painted on the lips of Jordyn Woods so that we can effectively compare and contrast.

Here is Woods, who has the world's best gig as the tester for Kylie Cosmetics products before they go on sale, rocking KHLO$. Loving her lash-grazing bangs, BTW. But peep KHLO$. It's dusty and ever-so-slightly rosy, right?

And here is Woods, back when she debuted Koko, which looks super soft and pale. Remember, Woods' makeup and hair is different in each shot, as is the lighting. She also has a darker skin tone. But judging from these two images, Koko is obviously a lighter and softer pink.

I hereby grant permission to drool over this KHLO$ swatch, especially when contrasted against OKURRR.

One more swatch. God, it's gorg... like GORG!

The brand even describes Koko as a "pale pink." I have it and use it often. But since my lips are so naturally pink and my skin is pretty pale, Koko always looks a tad darker on me. I still love it, though.

Also, if you were curious about how the Koko Lip Kit compared with the Smile Lip Kit, which was designed for charity, here's the deal. Smile is much more cotton candy-like and brighter than Koko. That means it's also much more cotton candy like and brighter than KHLO$. The order, from light to dark, is Smile, Koko, KHLO$. That's the best way I can describe it.

Here is the Koko Kollection as a set! I already own Koko but I certainly cannot wait to try KHLO$, too. I'm so game.
