Well, America, she’s arrived: the next Kardashian heir. Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian welcomed their new baby girl on Thursday. Her name is Dream Kardashian. I’ll just let that sink in. E!, aka Keeping Up With the Kardashians' home network, was the first to break the news, with confirmed reports quickly following as the internet clamored to get the scoop. Vigilant fans, however, might have pieced it together a little earlier had they been watching the family matriarch’s social feed. On Instagram, Kris Jenner seemingly hinted at Dream’s arrival shortly before the official announcement. Jenner then confirmed the baby news to E! News and told the site, "I got to watch [the] delivery. It was so beautiful and I'm so excited and happy to have another grandchild! No. 6!" Not only that, but she deemed the experience "one of the most precious moments of my life."
This marks Jenner’s sixth grandchild, joining Kourtney Kardashian’s kids with Scott Disick — Mason, Penelope, and Reign — and Kim Kardashian’s brood with Kanye West, which includes North and Saint. Jenner’s teaser post celebrated the special bond between cousins Penelope and North, previously the only girls to make up the Kardashians’ youngest generation. Now, they’ve got another lady to add to their fem-powered clan, who can be a new partner-in-crime for the best friend duo. “Cousins are those childhood playmates who grow up to be forever friends,” Jenner wrote alongside an adorable collage of North and P, who are 3 and 4 years old, respectively. Thus far, no other members of the Kardashian-Jenner cohort have posted about Dream.
It’s understandable that Jenner would want to jump the gun on the news, even if it was just a clever wink. Her Instagram photos are largely centered around her family, and she hasn’t been shy about her desire to expand it. She's also been a fervent cheerleader for Kardashian and Chyna, who got engaged last April.
Congrats to Kris and the new parents. I already can't wait to see Dream's official baby picture.
