17 Movies To Watch When You Need Inspiration

by Johnny Brayson

I think most people could use a little extra motivation sometimes. Whether there's a project you need to do complete, a conversation you're dreading having with someone, or if you're just feeling down, an inspirational push is always welcome. Especially at this moment in time, with so many people feeling lost or helpless following the results of the presidential election, I think everyone could stand to watch a nice, uplifting movie. That's why I've put together this list of 17 movies to watch when you need inspiration.

These films come from many different genres and time periods, showing that inspirational movies never go out style. The oldest film on the list dates from 1946, while the newest debuted just last year in 2015. There are dramas, comedies, animated films, epics, and of course some sports movies (due to the inherent nature of sports movies, the entire list could have easily been populated by them alone). Three of the films on the list have won the Oscar for Best Picture, while several others have taken home statues for their actors. But most importantly, every single one of these movies will leave you feeling better than you were before you watched it. So take a look at these 17 inspiring films.
