This 'DWTS' Pair Will Not Dance For The Mirrorball

Towards the end of a Dancing With The Stars season, I get really attached to the celebrities that are left. My favorite this season was a tie between James Hinchcliffe and Jana Kramer, but unfortunately, the latter of those two will not be making it to the finale. Jana Kramer was eliminated on Dancing With The Stars , ending her dreams of taking home a really big disco ball.

I really loved watching Jana’s journey over the course of the show. She came in freshly divorced, broken and hurt, and partner Gleb Savchenko not only taught her how to dance, but he healed Jana, too. She became so confident and seemed so much happier toward the end of the season, and I think that Dancing With The Stars had so much to do with that. Her last freestyle dance was particularly touching — she was tethered to Gleb via a long scarf, and that scarf seemed to represent their connection. At first, things were fraught and a little scary, but by the end, they had grown together, depending on each other’s inner strength to succeed. Jana really bettered herself over the course of the show, and I’m really disappointed that she won’t be heading to the finale.

So who will win? It’s down to Laurie Hernandez, James Hinchcliffe, and Calvin Johnson. I think that James is the best dancer technically on Dancing With The Stars right now, but Laurie Hernandez is the most likeable and recognizable overall. Calvin, though, has the charisma and athletic ability (and that smile!) to get him through to the end. It’s anybody’s guess as to who will take home that Mirrorball trophy! We’ll just have to tune in to find out.
