What Kim Might Think About Kanye Meeting Trump

by Nicole Pomarico

For the past month, many of us (including me) have been struggling with the fact that Donald Trump is our president-elect, and this week, his future as the leader of the free world just got even weirder. On Tuesday morning, Trump met with Kanye West to "discuss life," and although it's too early to say what will come out of this meeting, chances are it's definitely going to be... interesting. And among the many questions this meeting raises for me, one of the big ones is about the rapper's wife: What does Kim Kardashian think of West's meeting with Trump? She hasn't spoken out about it — and since she's been laying low since her robbery in October, I doubt she will — but if I had to guess, I'd say she probably disapproves.

Although West voiced his political opinions during a rant at one of his concerts in November and admitted that if he'd voted, he would have voted for Trump, everything Kardashian has said about the election makes it clear that this is just one of those things she and her husband disagree on. Kardashian has been very clear about her support for Hillary Clinton, and even has the selfie to prove it.

In September, Kardashian even published a post on her website that explained that she planned to vote for Clinton and why. It seems pretty clear that the views of Clinton's she aligns with aren't exactly what Trump aligns with, even though she stated in the post that she did believe that both candidates were working for a "safer and stronger" America. She wrote:

I thought about the things that are so important to me that they outweigh everything else, such as gun control and protecting women's rights to safe and legal abortion. I found that without a doubt, I stand with Hillary. I'm with her. I believe Hillary will best represent our country and is the most qualified for the job. This year, I'm not just voting for myself, but also for my children, and I took that into careful consideration when I made my decision. Now that I have made my choice I want to be clear... I would never judge anyone based on their political or religious beliefs. I believe that both candidates have the intention of making the country a safer and stronger place for every American, they just have different ideas about how we get there.

And since Clinton support seems to run in Kardashian's family — Kourtney has been vocal about her vote for Clinton, and so have Kris and Kendall Jenner — my dream scenario is that they all band together to stage an intervention for West before he gets anymore involved with Trump. But since that's probably not happening, I'm just going to hope that his meeting with Trump was a one time thing.

I'm dying to know what Kardashian is really thinking about West's meeting, but that will probably remain unanswered — unless, of course, the E! cameras happened to be rolling at her house when she found out that he made a stop at Trump Tower during his trip to New York. Maybe this is all just an elaborate prank? Actually, maybe this entire year has just been an elaborate prank? A girl can dream.
