Joe Jonas Is A Total Gossip

by Kaitlin Reilly

Joe Jonas may need to get a new hobby. Ever since the Jonas Brothers announced their breakup, he's had a bit of a loose lips problem. Recently, Jonas told the world that he smoked pot with Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, which got a lot of flack from people who didn't appreciate that he was blabbing about the personal lives' of other people. (Yeah, okay, we know that Demi and Miley have smoked pot in the past — and that Miley is really, really into it now — but maybe let them talk about their habits, you know?). And now he's throwing another celebrity under the bus: Joe Jonas slams Justin Bieber in new Scene magazine interview. Nice.

[Beiber] is having a hard time finding balance... I think we all saw it coming. Your dad is a party animal — that's going to sum it up pretty quick... We never really had the interest in doing things like peeing in buckets or anything like that.

Look, I get it — the Biebs has definitely had his share of bad behavior and he's not exactly apologetic about it. But it isn't exactly classy for Jonas to call him out on it — particularly when it comes to his "party animal" dad. Famous or not, it's not cool to diss people's family. There's so much shade in these few lines about Bieber that it's amazing that Bieber hasn't sent out a few passive aggressive tweets to the former Disney teen bopper. There's something hypocritical about Jonas calling Bieber to the carpet for his antics — Jonas himself admitted that he wasn't always the Disney-created angel that people assumed he was. Maybe he should give Bieber the same opportunity to figure his stuff out, as well.

Maybe it's cynical, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jonas dropped Bieber casually into conversation in order to get more press for his interview. It worked so well with Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato that perhaps he wants to give it another shot. That being said, I'd much rather Jonas focus on his new Joe-Bro-free music career, instead. These interviews are eye-roll inducing and make him seem like a hater. Go home, Joe Jonas. You're done.
