Introducing Kimye's Wedding Singers!

by Lia Beck

As you surely know by now, James Franco and Seth Rogen created a parody of Kanye West's "Bound 2" video several months ago called "Bound 3." Since then, Kim Kardashian, who stars in the original video, spoke out on Twitter voicing her approval of the parody saying, "You nailed it!!! Sooo funny!" and added in a tweet to Seth Rogen, "Kanye says what's up! He loves u guys! He laughed so hard at this." Sure, she said West liked the video, but there was never a direct response from West himself. Yadda, yadda, yadda, Kanye West wants Franco and Rogen to perform at the Kimye wedding. Say what?!

I'll explain.

Franco appeared on The View Tuesday morning to promote Of Mice and Men and the subject of "Bound 3" came up. Franco told the hosts,

We did get feedback. Kim loved the video and we didn't hear back from Kanye so we kind of felt like he's not bashing us, but he probably hates it but he's not going to say anything. But then two weeks ago, we got a call from Kanye. Seth and I were on the phone. We thought he was just going to let us have it. But he loved it. And I'm pretty sure I can say it now because I'm pretty sure it's not going to happen. He wanted us to perform it live the night before his wedding at Versailles.

Now at this point, because there isn't video of Franco explaining this available online and because Us Weekly added, "Franco went on to laugh: 'I think it would have been awesome for about 10 seconds, but then there would be Seth with his shirt off in front of all the Kardashians,'" I figured Franco was joking. That he was just making the entire phone call and everything up, but surprisingly, this is not the first time Franco has mentioned this intriguing phone call.

Earlier in April, Franco was on Live! With Kelly and Michael and said, "[Kanye] actually had a proposal for us, like for the next chapter — like a ‘Seth and James, Kim and Kanye’ kind of thing. It’s so crazy, so I think I can talk about it a little because I don’t think it’s ever gonna happen. It involves Paris and his wedding and all of this."

Again, it seems like he's joking because why would he say that he can't talk about the plan and then add that it involves Paris and the wedding? On the other hand, why would he bring up the phone call twice or say that it's never going to happen?

There is only one explanation: West, Kardashian, Rogen, and Franco are secretly all best friends. They have late night Skype sessions together and West and Kardashian approve all of Franco and Rogen's parodies. After their friendship grew close enough, they decided that they would all go into this together and start their own rumors about the Kimye wedding to throw everyone off. I'm sure they're all having a good laugh right now that people believe Franco spilled the beans on the Versailles location and himself and Rogen performing at the rehearsal dinner.

Unless is it true! You guys, is there a chance Seth Rogen and James Franco performing at the Kimye wedding?! Can we truly rule out that possibility? I want to keep a rational mind here, but this whole thing is really confusing. All we can hope for now is that the secret friendship thing is true and the four buddies are currently working out plans for a post-honeymoon getaway.
