Celebrities Have Some Weird Beauty Habits

Cara Delevingne and her eyebrows have almost become two separate entities. Both celebrities, both spectacular looking and both in the media a lot lately. And people say millenials are interested in the superficial things! But, I digress. Delevingne was recently asked about her famous brows (I'm sure she's used to that by now), and how she manages to maintain them. Her response? "They groom themselves...they're like a cat that licks her own fur." Right. Obviously. Same here.

Assumedly Delevingne was just joking (she usually is), but self-grooming eyebrows certainly wouldn't be the strangest or most unusual beauty habit we've heard of (although in this case, it would be more a lack of habit, I guess...). Between eating clay, being connected to, ahem, all your bodily functions, and bird poop face masks, daily beauty routines can get kind of weird when it comes to celebrities.

1. Shailene Woodley And Her Clay

So, Shailene Woodley has been blowing up lately. In case you haven't seen the four hundred trailers that have been playing for the past few months, her new movie, A Fault In Our Stars, is coming out pretty soon. So how does a young actress like Woodley stay beautiful, fit and healthy? Eating clay. She says it helps "clean metals out of her body." Well. Whatever makes you feel good, right? (Please don't eat clay.)

2. Cameron Diaz Likes To "Stay Connected" To Her Bodily Functions

And I'm talking really connected. Diaz recently wrote a book on healthy, beauty, and wellness and discussed it with just about everybody (she also wrote a sort of controversial chapter on pubic hair that received a lot of attention).

"By the way, if you're connected to those things — your pee, your poop, and your sweat — that's the easiest way and the most frequent way that you can be connected to what's going on in your body," Diaz said to Oprah in an interview. "Because pee, poop, and sweat is the way that we get rid of toxins in our body."

Diaz said she always checks the color and smell of her pee to make sure she's staying healthy. Oh. Ok.

3. Tom Cruise Wears a Bird Poop Face Mask To Bed (Yup)

Honestly, I stopped understanding the ridiculousness that is Tom Cruise a long, long time ago. However, wearing a face mask to bed made of brown rice and nightingale droppings (really) seems bizarre for even him.

4. Demi Moore Uses Leeches to Detox

Celebrities are all about being as detoxed and healthy as possible, but Demi Moore takes it to a whole other level with her way of releasing toxins and staying her most healthy and beautiful. Moore lets leeches suck on and "detoxify" her blood. Before she lets the leeches do their thing she has to take a turpentine bath, though. Sounds relaxing, right?
