That Time J. Lo Looked Like a Chandelier

There's nothing better than finding someone's doppelgänger — it's insanely satisfying. (I might even go as far as saying it's more satisfying than finding a surprise bottle of wine in your kitchen, although, that might be going too far.) Thankfully, the 2014 Billboard Music Awards is chock full of celebrities looking like other things and people, because, of course. It's also filled with a lot of crazy things coming out of people's mouths, a la Mark Cuban, and some not-so-feminist performances, a la Jennifer Lopez, but doppelgängers are way more fun to talk about.

We, of course, all expected that Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus would have on some pretty weird (and spectacular) costumes, but there are a few names on our look-a-like list that we weren't expecting. (Mostly because the unexpected people on the list probably weren't trying to look like anything else on purpose... woops.) And while they might not be as specific as How I Met Your Mother's doppelängers — Ted's robot-fighting twin was definitely the best — I'm pretty impressed with all of the pop culture references the celebs were able to channel, whether it was on purpose or not. From lighting fixtures to school supplies to feathery animals, take a look at some of our favorite doppelängers of the night:

1. One Republic's Ryan Tedder as a cockatoo.

Sorry, Tedder — you totally look like a bird tonight. But, hey, maybe that's the vibe the singer was going for. (Probably not.)

2. Ariana Grande as Austin Powers' Felicity Shagwell.

Well, for once in her life Grande doesn't look like she's going to prom. Now she just looks like she's going to her school's halloween costume party.

3. Iggy Azalea as a Hollaback Girl.

Hey, paying respect to Clueless and then Gwen Stefani is nothing to shake your head at. We love it.

4. Jennifer Lopez as a fringe chandelier.

J. Lo totally looked like a '20s inspired chandelier.

6. But, most of all, Katy Perry looked like Katy Perry getting slimed.

Wrong awards show, Katy.

7. Lorde as Maria from The Sound of Music if Maria was a witch.

Lorde proved that she's the coolest both with her performance and her witch-like appearance.

8. J. Lo as Johnny Weir.

You didn't think that J. Lo would only be on this list twice, did you? This time she channeled everyone's favorite ice skating fashionista.

9. And, of course, Miley Cyrus as the love child between Big Bird and Snuffleupagus.
