This Teen Has The Moves Like MJ

by Mallory Schlossberg

High school talent contests can be grim. Lackluster flute players, faulty high notes on poorly chosen power ballads, and the occasional interpretative dance. But here's a video that will put all talent contests to shame. This teen does an incredible Michael Jackson impersonation with his take on "Billie Jean." He has the moves down to a T, and dare I say it — even rivals Justin Timberlake's recent and very awesome MJ-style moves.

Undoubtedly, this teenager from Pitman High School in Turlock, California, is an incredible dancer. That alone could have won his school's Talent Rally. But his moves — which start around the 1:11 mark, after a montage of the other performers' acts — are so on point, that they seriously recall MJ in his glorious, moonwalking days, perhaps even more so than his hologram at the Billboard Music Awards. In fact, can we feature this teen in one of the upcoming videos for the King of Pop's posthumous album XSCAPE?

Of course, MJ is particularly timely right now, considering XSCAPE has been on the charts and features some pretty darn catchy songs ("Love Never Felt So Good," in particular, is tough to get out of your head in the best way ever). But this kid will make you remember Jackson's signature moves from the '80s and '90s. It's worth a watch — we're talking seriously impressive. And by the way...he won the talent show. Surprised much?
