Tara Reid not good enough for 'Sharknado 2'?

by Aly Semigran

Sharknado , the hard-hitting merchant ivory Syfy film that took Twitter by storm, has already been greenlit for a sequel so it can wrap up all the questions the original left unanswered like, "What if there was a tornado composed of sharks?" Wait, they answered that. But still, more! More, we cry!

While original cast member Ian Ziering, the former 90210 actor and part-time male exotic dancer, will be back on board for more meteorological fish disasters, there are rumors floating around in the air like a giant killer shark that Tara Reid won't. According to TMZ.com, "Producers had a meeting this past week to discuss plans for the New York-based sequel... and the only actor they want back for round two is Ziering."

How can this be?! Not only did she survive the first Sharknado, but Reid already has an extensive background as "an archaeologist and museum curator" and those skills could be put to use for the undoubtedly scientifically accurate follow-up.

Alas, rest easy, Reid-ers! The actress, who appeared with Sharknado's director Anthony C. Ferrante on Street Smart earlier this month, took to her Twitter to say, "There is no script for sharknado 2 until i read it then i will make a decision but everyone that is saying i got cut that is not true #liars."

Sharknado 2 is reportedly slated to air in 2014 and hopefully not a moment later:
