They Will Make You Start Reading Craigslist Ads

Craigslist has gotten a bad rap over the years (how can we forget the Craigslist Killer?) but this news might actually give you a renewed interest in surfing the site. On Thursday, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey's new film The Nest advertised for nail salon workers on Craigslist, and those hired will actually get to appear in the film. Cue us opening Craigslist right now!

Vanity Fair first discovered the mild mannered ad which boasted that the job was for a "Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Film" and requested New York area "REAL PROFESSIONAL MANICURISTS/PEDICURISTS to Portray Female Korean Nail Salon Workers." Universal later confirmed that the ad was indeed real.

See? Craigslist isn't just full of used dildos for sale and horrific "Girl Friday" job listings.

The filming for the scene was scheduled for Friday, June 20, so the lucky manicurists/pedicurists have already appeared in the shoot. There's no word on whether they actually got to work with Fey, Poehler or the recently cast Maya Rudolph, but getting to say you're in their film is enough, isn't it?

Although that part has already been filmed, it's worth sticking around on Craigslist for the remainder of the production to see if they want to hire any more people off the street.

It's pretty dedicated of The Nest to want to cast a real nail salon worker to keep up the quality and detail of the film. Or, maybe Poehler and Fey just wanted to actually get their nails done during the scene. Either way! Keep an eye on Craigslist, you never know what might pop up.
