New 'Doctor Who' Teaser Shows How Intense and Mysterious Season 8 Will Be - VIDEO

Are you ready to see the 12th Time Lord? The BBC has finally released a new teaser trailer for Doctor Who's upcoming season. The key word here is "teaser" because if there's anyone who knows how to keep their shows under wraps and only release a few details at a time, it's the BBC. I mean, they made us wait two years to find out how Sherlock Holmes survived jumping off that building! They take spoilers seriously. Now, this new 15-second teaser for Doctor Who shows how intense and confusing this season will be...by basically showing us nothing at all.

This clip follows the previous 15-second preview that debuted last month. In that trailer we literally only saw a flash of the Doctor's silhouette. But this time we do get a bit more information about Peter Capaldi's new Doctor. In the short clip, the camera zooms up on the Doctor's eye and his voice can be heard saying, “Clara, be my pal, tell me, am I a good man?” Jenna Coleman's Clara, returning as this season's companion, replies, “I don’t think I know who the Doctor is anymore."

All in all the short video just shows us how mysterious this season is going to be with both of the show's main characters confused about the Doctor's new identity. All we know about him so far is that Capaldi once described the character as "100 percent Rebel Time Lord," but for more information we'll have to wait until the season's official airing on August 23.

For now tide yourself over with this new trailer:
